Presented Holiday Baking and Customs in the 18th Century for the North Riding Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution

Performed in the 35th Anniversary of the Bicentennial Wagon Train Show, Penn State University and Fort Roberdeau, Altoona, PA.
Created and performed the interpretative storytelling program, Voices of Sandminers, about life during the sandmining era on Long Island for the Nature and History Fest at the Port Washington Library.
Sat on the panel to audition students for the Kohler Cabaret Scholarship at CW Post University.
Premiered a new cabaret, Dining with Divas, at the Sands-Willets House. The program asks the question, “What would happen if some of the musical theatre’s leading character ladies got together over dinner to discuss writing a self-help book on love and romance?”
2010
During the holiday season, performed the cabaret Holiday Wishes and Dreams at the Sands-Willets House and the Bristal Assisted Living in North Woodmere.
Presented the workshop Holiday Baking in the 18th Century for the Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society. Participants made sweet potato biscuits, gingerbread cookies, and discovered the difference between grunts, slumps, crumbles, crisps, and cobblers.
Performed at the Town of Oyster Bay Arts Council’s Recognition Dinner
Presented the workshop From Broadway to Boardroom to the Nassau County Library Programmer’s Association and the Long Island Chapter of ASTD (American Society of Training and Development) and the workshop Color Outside the Lines to the ACE Organization.
2009
Joined the production team of Fair Liberty’s Call www.fairlibertyscall.com. The musical is being reworked as an intimate chamber piece to partner with museums, historical societies, and historic sites so that the audience will be seated in an authentic 18th century environment with the action taking place around them.
Re-created her role of Nan Edwards in the musical, Fair Liberty’s Call which was selected by the International Museum Theatre Alliance and showcased at the American Association of Museums Conference in Philadelphia.
Spring 2009
Performed for the Town of Oyster Bay Distinguished Artists Series, Plainview/Old Bethpage Libary, American Association of Museums Conference, the Lynbrook Public Library, Serenata Kaffe, and a SRO audience at the Long Beach Public Library. She also hosted the Salon Evenings at Serenata Kaffe highlighting new and rising cabaret artists. Kate gave workshops on creative and critical thinking, incorporating arts into the curriculum, and communication skills to the Nassau Community College and the Suffolk JCC.
August 2008
Kate was invited to return to participate in The Art of Cabaret Workshop in Steamboat Springs, Colorado (see August 2006).

January 2008
The New Year introduced The Cabaret Club at the deSeversky Center with Kate producing the entertainment in collaboration with the deSeversky Center in Old Westbury. Guests enjoyed a three-course dinner in this neo-classical Georgian mansion followed by an evening of entertainment by cabaret artists including established performers and newcomers.
Spring 2007
Kate was awarded a grant to develop and perform a cabaret to introduce students to the art of cabaret. Entitled What Is This Thing Called Cabaret?, this project was made possible in part, with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts' Decentralization Program, administered by the Long Island Arts Council at Freeport. The program provides a look at what goes into a cabaret performance including finding material, interpreting and telling stories through song, and weaving songs into a very personal program.
May 2007
As part of the Long Island ArtsFest and the 5th Annual Cabaret Festival, produced by Artists in Partnership, Kate gave a demonstration/performance and joined colleagues in Cabaret Conversations .
June 2007
In working towards bringing more cabaret to Long Island, Kate introduced Cabaret on the Green to the Oak Room at Carlyle on the Green in Bethpage, NY.
July 2006
Over the July 4th weekend, Kate participated in the 30th anniversary reunion/performances of the Bicentennial Wagon Train Show at Penn State University, State College, Pa. She joined members from the original companies that toured the United States with the Bicentennial Wagon Train. The company rehearsed and performed the original musical show at Penn State and at Fort Roberdeau in Altoona, Pa. The reunion brought together the composer, director, producer, technicians, stage managers, and performers who toured for 18 months throughout the United States from 1975 – 1976 culminating in a celebration at Valley Forge on July 4, 1976 .
August 2006
Kate was chosen as one of 12 vocalists nationwide to attend The Art of Cabaret Workshop in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The faculty included Andrea Marcovicci, Karen Mason, Barry Kleinbort, Shelly Markham, Christopher Denny, and David Gaines. It was an intensive week of training focusing on the selection, interpretation, and performance of music in the cabaret setting, culminating in a public performance.
